We thought it would be good  for everyone to write in to us with your stories, jokes, and poems etc. that reflect you, who you are, the things that interest you and perhaps where you are from. That’s what URsTV is all about.   Sharing the things that make life interesting!

My TV

I bought myself a telly
To watch the evening news
I thought that it would cheer me up
Instead I felt bemused
President Bush was re-elected
Saddam Hussein was found
All of this I figured out
Without the need for sound
Afterwards I switched it off
And felt myself go numb
It seemed the world had given up
Its power to the dumb
So, since that day
I haven’t watched
The telly anymore
I took the stupid, useless thing
And threw it out the door.
