The next morning dawned bright and clear. Selisha stretched slowly as she lengthened her stride towards the stream. After grazing with her family in the bottom paddock, a strong loud neigh called out to them and as one they returned to the meeting place in the square.
Shanara and Mesularia flanked Farazan as they all stood on the large podium overlooking the herd standing expectedly in the square. Farazan took a step forward and his clear voice carried to each and every member of the herd.
“My friends my thanks for your warm welcome into your herd.”
As on that first day Farazan bowed to the upturned faces before him. His eyes met the eyes of each member as he stood up and faced them.
“Today, I must leave you to return to my herd. My own herd where my true heart belongs. I am here to tell you about the Way of the World. The Way of the World follows a different path to that of Ochra the First Great Stallion and that is the path that I follow. This path was shown to me by Ochra the First Great Stallion”.
“No that can’t be true.”
“You lie!”
Yells from the crowd as the unbelieving faces grew angry at their once true friend of the herd.
“Ochra made the World. Ochra made us in his image.”
“We follow Ochra the First Great Stallion.”
Mesularia moved quickly beside Farazan and rose onto his hind legs shouting for silence. The Great Stallion that was Mesularia still held that power of the herd. The power of instant submission by the herd below. As peace was restored, Mesularia turned towards Farazan demanding an explanation.

What a touching and beautiful story, Moira. I'm sorry i never read it before, but I only noticed it last night and I've just read it for the second time. [img]http://mystuff.pamelarose.me.uk/emoticons/3D_emot...
You should consider writing more. [img]http://mystuff.pamelarose.me.uk/emoticons/3D_emot...
