Heal the Earth had a stall at the Eco-Fayre held at the Dean Castle in Kilmarnock recently and it was a fantastic day. As well as having the stall with huge amounts of information on becoming more environmentally friendly, the Heal the Earth group were offering free tours around the Walled Garden project!

Heal the Earth at Dean Castle Courtyard

John and Jan introduced themselves and  explained what the group is all about as you can see from the above video. Plenty of interest was shown by many visitors to the Eco-Fair and there were also a fine selection of other stalls.

This particular environmental group are trying to make Kilmarnock a plastic bag free zone so Heal the Earth were providing information of what alternatives are out there. Heal the Earth and of course URsTV would love to hear from you about how you would stop using plastic bags. Try their 7 day challenge and see how you get on. Send in any ideas and what you would use instead.

Jenny showing visitors round The Walled Garden

In our video below, Jenny Brown who is managing the Walled Garden project, agreed to give URsTV a virtual tour of the garden. As the garden is rather large and there are tonnes of stuff going on all over the place we have created several videos to cover the whole area.

This very informative video is merely Part 1.
